1. Can I
leave my sign outside in the rain or cold?
Yes. We recommend 1-2
weeks in the yard under normal
weather conditions. The
permanent marker was specially selected to be smudge and water proof.
The sticker is repositionable and will not peal
off the sign. By the delicate nature of
balloons, they may deflate or pop due
to: cold weather, sharp objects, over deflating. We have strived
to create a product that people will feel confident knowing
they can create a lasting keepsake.
2. If I make a
mistake with my marker can I erase it?
Yes. A dry erase cleaner,
available at office supply store, will remove most of the
ink. For complete removal of permanent marker, use
small amount of laquer thinner, available at your local hardware store,
on a clean rag
- IMPORTANT: Follow all directions and precautions
recommended by the thinner manufacturer.
3. Will the color fade
in the sun?
Some fading will occur due
to UV exposure. We recommend 1-2 weeks in the yard for
minimal fading. Although, many customers have reported
using their signs outside for 3-4 weeks or longer.
4. Do I have to use the
permanent marker included with my sign?
No. You can use dry erase
markers or colored permanent markers, but we can not guarantee their
use. The permanent marker included with your sign was
specially selected to be smudge free, water proof and fade
resistant.
5. How do I create thick
lines to bold my baby's name?
The mark was specially
selected to allow you to create various line weights.
By using the end of the felt tip when you write (i.e.
keeping the marker straight up), lines will be thin.
To create thick lines, lean the marker to the side and press
more firmly. This uses the side of the felt tip.
The harder you press and the more you angle the marker as
you write, the thicker the lines will become. You can
even create a calligraphic appearance.
6.
What if my marker is not writing well?
This is
usually caused by a dry felt tip. Make a few
strokes on a separate piece of scrap paper until the
ink begins to flow to tip again. Now write
your message on the whiteboard. If you suspect
that your marker is faulty, you may
contact us to request a
free replacement.
